What We Do

Academic Improvement Center is a learning center located near downtown Davis.  Since 1997, the center has specialized in tutorial instruction and academic coaching in mathematics, science, Engish, and Spanish for grades 7 through college.  We also offer an SAT preparation class, and provide college counseling for all our students.

The instructors, Michael Leonard, Ph.D., and Teresa Leonard, M.D., have 10 years of experience working full time with hundreds of students from Davis and surrounding communities.

Because we are committed to maintaining excellence in our work, we, unlike other tutoring services, do not hire lesser-qualified employees, which means your child will work exclusively with Mike or Terri.

Our students vary widely in academic ability and motivation and our instruction is individualized to meet the specific needs of each student.

We require no enrollment fees or long-term contracts.

Perhaps the greatest testimonial to the sucess of our business is that it is almost 100% driven by client referrals, not by advertising.
